Wolf Pointhas always been a gathering place for people and goods moving throughour city. In the early part of the 19th century, river settlers establishedChicago’s first tavern, hotel, and drug store here.

THE MUNICIPAL DEVICE

As our city grew, so did Wolf Point’s importance. In 1917, the city adopted the Municipal Device — an official symbol of the three branchesof the River coming together at Wolf Point. This Y-shaped symbol is foundthroughout the city on bridges, buildings, and infrastructure.

and history. At the crossroads of the three branches
of the Chicago River and three incredible downtown neighborhoods, Wolf Point East will continue the
legacy of this unique place for years to come.
